What You Can Expect

Whether you are new to therapy or seeking it out again, I want to commend you for your bravery in seeking support at this time. Lasting change does not happen overnight, or in one to two therapy sessions. Research shows the best outcomes are a result of a positive relationship with, and positive regard for your therapist. We will work together to identify your goals, create a treatment plan, and continue to evaluate together what sessions will look and feel like. You can start by calling or emailing as I want to give you a chance to see if I am the right fit for you.

 My background

I began working with youth and families in 2006 at a local non-profit after obtaining my Bachelors Degree. Through my service and involvement with clients that experienced grief, trauma, and loss I decided to pursue my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in order to serve in a deeper and more meaningful way. I have been providing therapy to youth and families since 2012. I am trained in a variety of modalities but most often integrate a cognitive behavioral, strengths based approach as I believe that in knowing and utilizing your strengths we can achieve the highest outcomes.

on a personal note

I have a passion for growing community, and when I am not at work I can be found volunteering my time, going on leisurely walks, hiking, reading, or finding somewhere to be in nature: the redwoods of Big Sur being one of my favorite. And, of course knowing the power of a loving, nurturing relationship I spend as much time with my people as I can.
